Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package – Limited To Just 1,965 Units
In a nod to its storied past, Ford has unveiled a new 60th Anniversary package for the Mustang, aimed at celebrating six decades since the iconic muscle car first roared onto the scene.
Set to hit the global market later this year, only 1,965 units of this special edition Mustang will be manufactured. This figure is a direct homage to 1964, the year the Mustang made its official debut.

The Mustang anniversary edition is more about aesthetic enhancements than mechanical changes. It features 20-inch dark grey alloy wheels inspired by the original Mustang's design, complete with red centre caps.
Exterior updates include '5.0' badges on the front fenders, a 'GT' badge on the boot, and a retro-inspired grille with silver accents. Mirroring the chrome finishes of the past, the wing mirror caps are also silver.
Available in White, Race Red, or Vapour Blue, the special edition adds red or silver stripes at the base of the doors for a striking contrast. Inside, the car boasts a 60th Anniversary plaque on the dashboard and offers upholstery in grey, black, or red.

This celebratory Mustang comes in the GT Premium specification, meaning it's powered by a 5.0-litre Coyote V8 engine. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission, with the engine delivering 480hp and 560Nm of torque.
In addition to the anniversary package, Ford announced a new Heritage gauge cluster for all 2024 Mustangs. This update delivered over-the-air to the seventh-generation Mustang, features digital dials that mimic the analogue speed and engine RPM indicators of the 1960s models.
A few years back, Ford showcased the evolution of the Mustang by bringing together two restored classics - a 1968 Bullitt Mustang replica and a 1969 Mustang Mach 1, alongside the modern 2018 Ford Mustang GT for a comparison that bridged generations.

DriveSpark Thinks
As Ford marks a significant milestone with the Mustang, the brand also hints at a stronger presence in India, with discussions around bringing the Mustang Mach-E to the market and the possible return of the Ford Endeavour, known elsewhere as the Everest, alongside future plans with the Tamil Nadu government.
The 60th Anniversary Mustang not only celebrates the rich legacy of an automotive icon but also signals Ford's ongoing commitment to innovation and its fans worldwide.
