Ford Maverick 2025 Unveils Hybrid All-Wheel Drive And Tech Enhancements

When the Ford Maverick was introduced in 2021, it quickly became a favourite among Americans. Now, Ford is enhancing its smallest truck to match the capability, spaciousness, and versatility that made it a hit. The Maverick continues to offer the lowest starting price of any pickup in America.

Handling tough terrain and bad weather will be easier for Maverick Hybrid customers with a new all-wheel drive option for 2025. This package also doubles towing capacity. Customers can now enjoy wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ on a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen. New towing technologies are set to arrive in early 2025, making towing simpler regardless of skill level.

The SYNC 4 system is now standard, displayed on a 13.2-inch screen, replacing the previous 8-inch one. It includes an 8-inch digital instrument cluster above the steering wheel. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are also available, along with Enhanced Voice Recognition and connected navigation through SYNC® 4.

These upgrades were requested by owners who remain loyal to the Maverick for its versatility, Built Ford Tough capability, and value. These features attract customers from other truck brands and segments like small cars and SUVs; 60 percent of Maverick buyers trade in vehicles from other brands.

The new built-in 5G modem allows for software updates to keep vehicle systems current. The SYNC 4 system also serves as a portal to other useful technologies.

Built Ford Tough Capability and Versatility

The most significant update is the addition of an all-wheel drive hybrid model available on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. This model offers traction over various road conditions and weather types. With the available 4K Tow Package, customers can tow small campers, personal watercraft, and utility trailers.

The FLEXBED storage solution helps organise payloads better with pockets molded into the sidewalls for sectioning off cargo. The multi-position tailgate can be adjusted flat for long cargo or secured in the middle position for items like mountain bikes.

New Tech to Save Time

Maneuvering in urban environments is easier with the new 360-Degree Camera for 2025. It provides split-view displays of what's directly in front or behind the vehicle along with cross-traffic views.

Pro Trailer Hitch Assist uses rear camera and corner radars to align the hitch with the trailer coupler while controlling speed, steering, and braking. Pro Trailer Backup Assist simplifies backing up a trailer by turning a knob to indicate direction while reversing into position.

Safety Features

Peace of mind comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360 technology. For 2025, every Maverick includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Aid, Rear View Camera, and Auto LED High-Beam Headlamps.

Lariat and Tremor trims now feature Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition.

Freshened Appearance

The exterior has been updated with dark appearance LED headlamps, redesigned front bumper, and grille as standard features. Higher trims have LED projector headlamps with signature accent lighting for a premium look.

Inside, new trim colours and materials are available across doors, instrument panel, console, and seats. The Aspen Gray/Navy Pier theme on XLT now includes Grabber Blue accents while Lariat adds a Smoke Truffle theme with bronze accents.

Pricing and Availability

The starting MSRP for 2025 is $26,295 plus $1,595 for destination and delivery for the standard hybrid front-wheel drive model. Orders for the new Maverick begin on August 1st with deliveries expected in late 2024.
