About Women's Worldwide Car of the Year
The Women's Worldwide Car of the Year was established by Sandy Myhre from New Zealand in 2009. It remains the only car awards group exclusively comprising women motoring journalists. The awards aim to recognise top cars annually while amplifying women's voices in the automotive sector.
The selection criteria focus on safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits, and environmental impact rather than gender-specific preferences. This approach ensures that jurors select vehicles based on universal driving needs.
Beyond recognising outstanding vehicles each year, WWCOTY seeks to enhance women's visibility globally within the automotive industry. By doing so, it aims to empower women through increased mobility opportunities both personally and professionally.
