Equipmake Strengthens Global Strategy With Jinsong Dai As New VP Of Sales
Equipmake, a UK-based engineering specialist in electrification products for the automotive, aerospace, bus, and coach industries, has appointed Jinsong Dai as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. This strategic move aims to bolster Equipmake’s global growth, particularly in priority markets for electrification.
Dai will operate out of the US and oversee Equipmake’s global commercial initiatives. He brings extensive expertise from his previous roles at Sensata Technologies, a $4.0 billion company with 20,000 employees. Sensata specialises in electrification products and power conversion solutions for mobility, transport, industrial, and aerospace sectors.

During his seven-year tenure at Sensata Technologies, Dai held multiple senior leadership positions. His roles included Global Director of Marketing, Product Line Ownership, and Programme Management within Sensata’s Clean Energy Solutions business unit. He led the global expansion of four electrification product lines and delivered successful programmes across business development, marketing, and product management.
Prior to Sensata, Dai worked at CRCC, a global leader in high-speed railway design and engineering. His roles there included business development and engineering management.
Ian Foley, CEO of Equipmake, expressed enthusiasm about Dai’s appointment: "Jinsong is an outstanding professional in the electrification industry. His hands-on experience in scaling up numerous electrification product lines to mass-production level through global market expansion will be invaluable in supporting Equipmake’s growth strategy."
Dai himself is optimistic about his new role: "Equipmake has built a stellar reputation as a leading developer and manufacturer of e-powertrain products. I am delighted to join at this exciting time and look forward to bringing our unique solutions to global markets."
