Nissan Celebrates New Qashqai Launch With Stunning London Stunt On Historic Chimney
Nissan has unveiled a striking new advertising campaign in London to mark the launch of its latest Qashqai model. A giant replica of the British-built Qashqai is now prominently displayed atop a 49-metre chimney at Truman Brewery, a historic site on Brick Lane in Shoreditch. This installation will remain until Sunday, 22 September, as part of Nissan's "Elevate Your Urban Drive" marketing initiative.
The fibreglass model is significantly larger than the standard Qashqai, measuring 6.5 metres long, 2.7 metres wide, and 2.4 metres high, with a weight of 750kg. It took approximately seven weeks to construct and was lifted into place using two cranes earlier this week. The planning and execution involved around 50 people.
A spokesperson for Nissan expressed pride in showcasing the British-built model in such an eye-catching manner: "We’re very proud of this British-built model and wanted to show it off for everyone to see. So, we figured why not park it in a place where it can’t be missed." This bold display is part of Nissan's ongoing efforts to highlight the features of the new Qashqai.
The updated Qashqai boasts refreshed exterior styling and introduces a new N-Design grade. Inside, it offers enhanced features and advanced technology, including Google Built-in. The vehicle is powered by Nissan’s e-POWER system, providing an electric driving experience without requiring recharging.
Since production began in Sunderland in 2006, over four million Qashqais have been manufactured. Of these, approximately 140,000 e-Power models have been produced since 2022. This reflects Nissan's commitment to innovation and sustainability within its product line.
