EDITH: Award-Winning Documentary Chronicles Porsche's Journey To Climb World's Highest Volcano

A unique documentary, "EDITH: Porsche’s Volcano Ascent," showcases the journey of a Porsche 911 named 'Edith' as it climbs the world’s tallest volcano. This film, now available on Prime Video in the US and UK, highlights a four-and-a-half-year project that premiered at Monterey Car Week and won ‘Best Documentary Feature’ at the 2024 International Motor Film Awards.

The documentary, produced by TangentVector, follows a small team attempting to drive a specially modified Porsche 911 up Ojos del Salado in Chile. The journey was fraught with challenges, including two unsuccessful attempts before finally succeeding. The film captures the team's perseverance and triumph in harsh conditions.

J.F. Musial, Co-founder of TangentVector, expressed excitement about sharing this story with audiences at home. "This project was exactly what you see in the documentary – a small team working desperately hard, recording their fears, their moments of defeat, their sense of belief and ultimately their elation over a period of four years in near impossible conditions," he said.

The expedition faced extreme conditions with altitudes exceeding 20,000 feet and temperatures well below freezing. The thin air tested both the team and the vehicle's limits. Despite these obstacles, their determination resulted in a compelling narrative that highlights human resilience.

Initially released in the US and UK, plans are underway to expand the documentary's availability to other regions such as mainland Europe. This expansion aims to reach a broader audience interested in this remarkable adventure.
