eBay has recently introduced the Van Conversion of the Year Awards, inviting professional traders, aspiring converters, and van enthusiasts to participate. With just two weeks remaining to enter, participants have a chance to win £10,000 in cash as this year's top prize. Runners-up will receive £250 worth of eBay vouchers. The competition seeks the best trade transformations, luxury campers, or unique conversions.

The judging panel for this year's awards includes renowned architect and TV presenter George Clarke. He will be joined by Peter Stevens, known for designing the exterior of the iconic McLaren F1, and Laura Richards, Category Lead for Vehicle Parts and Accessories at eBay. Together, they will select individual category winners before choosing the overall Van Conversion of the Year.

George Clarke expressed his enthusiasm for the event: "We were hugely inspired by the conversions we saw last year, and after all the success and buzz it created, we thought we would give the people of the UK another chance to show off their creations. As someone that has previously converted a van, I know how incredibly fun and rewarding the whole process can be, from coming up with the concept to building the finished vehicle. Last year’s winner was Paul White, a publican who transformed an old ambulance into a mobile bar named AmBEERlance during Covid lockdowns. His innovative solution allowed him to continue serving his customers despite restrictions. Paul was commended for creating a functional vehicle that kept his business afloat during challenging times.
