Dodge Charger Daytona Wins Green Car Journal's 2025 Performance Green Car Of The Year Award
The Dodge Charger Daytona, a new all-electric muscle car, is making waves. This vehicle, led by the 670-horsepower Charger Daytona Scat Pack, has been named Green Car Journal’s 2025 Performance Green Car of the Year. It combines impressive power with zero-emission efficiency, addressing environmental concerns while maintaining its muscle car legacy.
The Charger Daytona Scat Pack boasts 627 lb.-ft. of torque, accelerating from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. It completes a quarter-mile in approximately 11.5 seconds. The R/T model offers 496 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft. of torque. Both models feature a dual motor system with all-wheel drive and a unique Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system that delivers a distinctive sound.

Matt McAlear, CEO of Dodge brand at Stellantis, stated, "The all-new Dodge Charger Daytona is a game changer not just because it’s an electric vehicle, but because it’s a better muscle car." He emphasized that electrification enhances performance for enthusiasts while offering more horsepower than previous models.
The Charger Daytona models qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit when leased. Customers can choose between an at-home Level 2 charging station or $600 charge credits through Free2move Charge. Using a Level 3 DC CCS fast charger allows recharging from 20% to 80% in just over 27 minutes.
Production for the four-door Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models is set to begin in early 2025. Meanwhile, the two-door versions will start production later that year, including gas-powered options like the SIXPACK H.O. and SIXPACK S.O., expanding the multi-energy lineup.
Exclusive Offers and Legacy
First Call orders are now open for the two-door coupe versions of Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack. These include exclusive packages with perks such as a two-day performance driving experience at Radford Racing School and VIP concierge service for orders placed by October 31, 2024.
Dodge has been synonymous with performance for over a century, continuing the legacy of John and Horace Dodge. The brand remains committed to delivering high-performance vehicles across various segments while embracing electrification with the new Charger lineup.
Dodge's Broader Performance Lineup
Dodge continues to offer powerful vehicles like the Durango SRT Hellcat with 710 horsepower and best-in-class performance in compact utility vehicles like the Hornet.
