Dodge Unveils Electrified Charger Daytona At Roadkill Nights 2024
MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge is set to bring drag racing action inside the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, for the first time on August 10. This shift from Woodward Avenue aims to enhance the spectator experience with walkable pit areas and closer viewing spots for fans.
The event will feature the debut of the all-new Dodge Charger Daytona, touted as the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car. The next-generation Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack boasts 670 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Additionally, an electrified model, the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, offers 496 horsepower.
New for 2024, attendees can enjoy Dodge Hornet Rally Rides, where fans can take passenger seats for hot laps around a specially built dirt-and-pavement rally course at M1 Concourse. The event will also include a variety of other attractions such as classic and modern muscle car cruise-ins and Dodge Drift Rides.
The Direct Connection Grudge Race returns for its fourth year, featuring automotive builders and influencers competing in race cars powered by the Direct Connection HurriCrate engine. These competitors will reveal their builds at a press conference on August 9 before racing on August 10.
A pre-party event called Sick Powerfest is scheduled for August 9 at M1 Concourse. It will feature the World Burnout Championship with a $25,000 prize and the Sick Spit Show and Shine. Attendees can also participate in Dodge drag race thrill rides during this pre-party.
Tickets for Sick Powerfest must be purchased separately from Roadkill Nights admission. Full details are available at sickthemagazine.com/sick-powerfest.

Celebrities like Bill Goldberg and NHRA stars Matt Hagan, Leah Pruett, and Ida Zetterström will attend Roadkill Nights. They will participate in autograph sessions and perform exhibitions in their high-powered drag cars. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan from Roadkill will also make appearances.

Supporting a Good Cause
The Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge United Way auction allows attendees to bid on fan ticket packages and unique memorabilia to support United Way for Southeastern Michigan. The auction runs from noon on August 2 to midnight on August 11.
The main event on August 10 runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., featuring various activities including "Roadkill" stunts, merchandise tents, drag race simulators, and talent appearances from MotorTrend's "Pure Power Pony" drag car built by HOT ROD team.
Dodge will also unveil the final performance character of the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system during an invite-only press conference on August 9 at M1 Concourse. This system delivers a unique rumble that challenges traditional battery electric vehicle perceptions.
