Dodge Marks 20th Anniversary Of HEMI Power With Launch Of New Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey
Dodge is celebrating 20 years of HEMI-powered Durango production by introducing the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey. This model is the fourth special edition in the lineup, boasting a powerful 710-horsepower engine. "The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey caps a trio of 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat special-edition models as we recognize 20 years of HEMI power in the Dodge performance SUV," stated Matt McAlear, CEO of Dodge.
The new Brass Monkey edition joins other special models like the Silver Bullet and Hammerhead. These editions highlight two decades of HEMI engines in Dodge's performance SUVs. The Durango SRT Hellcat remains a leader in its class, offering unmatched towing capacity of 8,700 lbs. The brand first began full production of these HEMI-fueled models in 2004.
The Brass Monkey edition stands out with its Red Oxide exterior and dark bronze accents. Key features include 20-by-10-inch wheels, Sepia Laguna leather seats, and a Satin Black hood. The interior boasts suede headliners and carbon-fiber accents. Like its siblings, it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 mph.
Performance features are abundant in this model. It includes SRT Performance Pages for detailed vehicle performance data and configurable Drive Modes for enhanced control. Race Options allow drivers to adjust Launch Control settings. The TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth shifting.
The vehicle is equipped with advanced technology such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A wireless charging pad is also included for convenience. The sound system features a Harman Kardon setup with an impressive 825-watt amplifier.
Safety features are comprehensive, including Blind-spot Monitoring with Trailer Detect and Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop functionality adds to the safety suite, ensuring peace of mind on the road.
