Dacia Spring Emerges As The Most Anticipated Electric Vehicle Of 2024
The All-New Dacia Spring has been recognised as the 'Most Eagerly Awaited Electrified Car of 2024' in the EcoCar Electrified Top 50. This pure-electric supermini will arrive in the UK later this year, with over 300 orders already placed within a month.
Since its introduction in 2021, the first-generation Spring became one of Europe's best-selling EVs. It played a significant role in making electric car ownership more accessible across the region. The new version aims to continue this trend with improved features and affordability.

The All-New Dacia Spring is priced from £14,995 on-the-road, making it the UK's most affordable new electric car. It can be ordered online via www.dacia.co.uk or through any official retailer. The vehicle is available for £169 per month on a 3.9% APR representative PCP offer.
Luke Broad, Brand Director at Dacia UK, highlighted the demand for affordable EVs: "With an ever-increasing number of UK car buyers wanting to switch to an electric car but high initial prices being a recognised barrier, there’s huge appetite for a usable, well-equipped and affordable EV."
The All-New Dacia Spring offers two trim levels: Expression and Extreme. It boasts a range of up to 140 miles (WLTP mixed cycle) or 186 miles (WLTP urban cycle). Customers can choose between a 45 hp motor or a more powerful 65 hp/48 kW motor.
The standard features include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, manual air conditioning, rear parking sensors, Media Control system with USB port, electric front windows, and remote central locking. Charging options include using its 7kW charger to fully charge the battery in less than four hours.
Dacia Jogger's Success
In addition to the Spring's recognition, the seven-seat Dacia Jogger topped the 'Best Hybrid Estate Car' category. This double celebration underscores Dacia's commitment to providing innovative and affordable vehicles.
Ian Robertson, Editor and Publisher of Diesel&EcoCar, explained why the magazine singled out the All-New Dacia Spring: "British buyers have looked on jealously at other European markets that have been able to buy the first-generation Spring since its arrival in showrooms during 2021."
Customer Interest and Orders
Interest in the All-New Dacia Spring has surged since ordering opened on June 4th. Over 300 buyers have already placed their orders. The recent announcement of finance offers has further increased excitement for this model.
Dacia has always focused on offering value-for-money cars by redefining essentials. Since its relaunch by Renault Group in 2004, Dacia has sold over eight million vehicles across Europe and Mediterranean countries.
Dacia's Market Presence
Dacia launched in the UK in January 2013 and quickly became one of the most successful new car brands in the country. To date, more than 250,000 Dacia vehicles have been sold in the UK.
The brand's models like Sandero and Duster have become market references. Sandero has been Europe's best-selling retail car each year since 2017, while Duster has been the best-selling SUV to European private customers since 2018.
The All-New Dacia Spring is set to make a significant impact on the UK market with its affordability and comprehensive features. As Luke Broad stated: "We are thrilled that so many people are looking forward to its arrival."
