New Dacia Retailer Opens In London With UK Public Debut Of All-New Spring
Dacia has inaugurated its new flagship retailer, Dacia London West, with the UK public debut of the All-New Dacia Spring, the nation's most affordable new electric car. Founded in Romania in the 1960s, Dacia's special event was attended by Laura Popescu, the Ambassador of Romania to the United Kingdom, the Mayor of Hounslow, and Tony Louki, a Councillor for Osterley and Spring Grove Ward.
The purpose-built facility spans nearly one acre and is strategically located on the A4 near Brentford. The innovative build utilises solar energy and features recycled materials for fittings and fixtures. The site can house up to 80 Approved Used vehicles under cover and boasts a 10-ramp workshop. The team operating the facility has nearly 200 years of combined automotive industry experience.
Laura Popescu, Karen Smith, the Mayor of Hounslow, and Tony Louki officially opened Dacia London West at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Senior Dacia representatives and local community members also attended. The site accommodates both Dacia and Renault brands, part of the Renault Group.
The launch event was highlighted by the UK public debut of the All-New Dacia Spring, priced at £14,995 on-the-road. Attendees were given an exclusive tour of the near one-acre site, which occupies a prime position on the A4 in Brentford.
The facility took 10 months to complete and is based on a redeveloped plot. It features an advanced 10-ramp workshop with an MOT testing lane and eight EV charging points. The showroom includes ample space to display every Dacia model. Many fittings and fixtures are made from recycled materials, including sofa coverings from plastic bottles and rugs woven from nylon waste.
The building's roof incorporates 28 solar panels, partly powering the facility. The team of 36 employees has nearly 200 years of combined automotive industry experience.
