Dacia Duster Wins Top Spot In UK's 2024 Auto Express Driver Power Survey
The Dacia Duster has been recognised as Britain’s best car to own in the 2024 Auto Express Driver Power survey. This survey, which is the UK’s largest new car satisfaction study, saw eight different brands in the top 10 positions. The Duster secured the top spot, surpassing the Tesla Model 3 and two Toyota models - the Yaris and RAV4. The Mini hatchback completed the top five.
Driver Power provides a comprehensive insight into what owners think of their new cars. It helps inform potential buyers and gives car companies valuable feedback. The survey asks owners detailed questions about cars they have owned for up to three years across ten categories.

The Dacia Duster scored highly for value for money and its user-friendly interior controls and touchscreen. Owners also appreciated its boot space and cabin storage. Tesla’s Model 3 excelled in three categories: Powertrain, Economy & Running Costs, and Safety, securing an overall runner-up position.
The Skoda Kodiaq also won three categories: Interior & Comfort, Practicality & Space, and Reliability & Build Quality. However, lower scores in powertrain and running costs kept it out of the overall top 10.
Auto Express Editor Paul Barker commented, "The Driver Power survey once again tells the story of what these cars are like to live with, written by the people that have bought and paid for them. We have always loved the Dacia Duster, and our results show that owners wholeheartedly agree."
