CUPRA Born VZ Opens For UK Orders With Advanced Electric Powertrain

The high-performance CUPRA Born VZ is now available for order in the UK, with prices starting at £44,625 MDP. This latest model of the brand’s first fully electric vehicle offers a powerful 79kWh 326PS electric powertrain, capable of accelerating from 0 to 62mph in just 5.6 seconds.

The CUPRA Born VZ features a sportier interior with Enceladus Grey CUP bucket seats and a Sennheiser Premium Audio sound system. On the exterior, it boasts 20-inch Thunderstorm alloy wheels and an optional Dark Forest paint finish.

The new model delivers 326PS of power and 545Nm of torque, which is 75% more than any other Born version. The enhanced powertrain, combined with improved chassis dynamics due to DCC Sport suspension, allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 124mph.

Despite its performance capabilities, efficiency has not been compromised. The upgraded battery pack now offers a net capacity of 79kWh (+2kWh) and can travel up to 372 miles on a single charge. It can be recharged at home using an 11kW AC system or at a DC 185kW fast-charging point, with a fast charge from 10% to 80% taking just 26 minutes.

The CUPRA Born VZ also includes several technological enhancements. Standard features include keyless entry (KESSY advanced), Car 2X intelligent vehicle networking, and a wireless phone charger.
