Citygate Holdings Launches Auto.Works To Revolutionize Online Vehicle Sales

Citygate Holdings has launched Auto.Works, a new business aimed at transforming the online presentation of new and used vehicles. The company offers a comprehensive digital marketing solution for OEMs, retailers, and leasing firms. This service integrates UK-built turntable and imaging solutions from AutoLoadit with a team of strategic, digital, data, and retail experts.

Robert Hazelwood, former MD of BCA UK and CEO of Inchcape Retail, will lead Auto.Works as Managing Director. He is joined by Chief Operating Officer Matt Benns, who previously held roles at Keyloop and Volkswagen UK. The business utilises advanced technology to capture over 100,000 high-definition images daily. More than 18,000 vehicles are listed online each month using Auto.Works' services. This includes turntable technology, colour-perfect lighting studios, and hand-held imaging apps to ensure top-quality images and videos.

Matt Benns highlighted the efficiency of their system: "We offer an end-to-end solution; turntable technology, colour-perfect lighting studios, hand-held imaging apps all providing the highest quality images and video. Adding these images to our data management portal we ensure easy, automated and time-saving collection, collation and multi-website transfer".

The leadership team at Auto.Works includes several industry veterans. Jonathan Smith, owner of Citygate Holdings and former Divisional Director of H R Owen; Connor McCormack, CEO of UTAC and past CEO of Inchcape Retail; Sarah Sillars, ex-CEO and Executive Chairman of IMI; and Graham Wheeler, ex-CEO of Volkswagen Financial Services are all on the board supporting the new venture.

The company is already operational in 26 countries across Europe. It assists some of the continent's largest retailers, car supermarkets, and leasing companies in enhancing their online retail presence.
