Citroen C3 Automatic Variant Launched In India At Rs 10 Lakh
Citroen has announced the pricing for the C3 automatic, which is now available in its top-spec Shine configuration, with costs ranging between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10.27 lakh. This comes a little over a month after the brand introduced an extensive feature update for the hatchback.
The Citroen C3 automatic shares its powertrain with the Basalt and features a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. Also, the transmission unit is is offered alongside a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The C3 automatic's introduction pits it against key rivals in the compact car segment. With a starting price point above Tata Punch's Rs 7.60 lakh but below Hyundai Exter's Rs 8.23 lakh, the C3 positions itself uniquely in the market. Notably, while the Tata and Hyundai models utilize a 5-speed AMT, the Citroen C3 automatic boasts a more advanced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, distinguishing it from its competitors.
Offered in four different variants, the Citroen C3 Turbo automatic's lineup includes the Shine (Rs 10 lakh), Shine Vibe Pack (Rs 10.12 lakh), Shine Dual Tone (Rs 10.15 lakh), and Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack (Rs 10.27 lakh). Each variant adds its unique touch, with the Dual Tone options featuring a two-tone exterior and the Vibe Pack introducing additional cosmetic enhancements.
When compared to the manual Shine Dual Tone (Rs 9.30 lakh) and Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack (Rs 9.42 lakh) versions, the automatic variants command a premium of approximately Rs 85,000.

The feature set of the C3 automatic mirrors that of its manual counterpart, boasting amenities such as LED projector headlamps, electrically adjustable wing mirrors with integrated turn signals, and automatic climate control.
Additionally, it includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, and six airbags for enhanced safety. A noteworthy upgrade for the C3 Turbo AT is the inclusion of connected car technology through the MyCitroen Connect smartphone app, enhancing the vehicle's convenience and user experience.
With all prices being ex-showroom, India, the C3 automatic stands as a competitive offering in the hatchback market. It leverages its sophisticated transmission system and comprehensive feature list to appeal to customers looking for a compact car that doesn't compromise on technology or comfort.
