Citroen C3 Aircross Receives 0-Star Rating From Latin NCAP: Raises Safety Concerns
Recent revelations have highlighted significant safety concerns regarding a prominent car model. The Citroen C3 Aircross, specifically the version with two airbags, has been deemed inadequate in safety standards. During a crash test conducted by Latin NCAP at 64 km/h, this model failed to secure any stars out of five, indicating its unsuitability for safe travel.
This revelation has caused widespread concern among car enthusiasts and consumers. As nations worldwide tighten vehicle safety regulations, the Citroen C3 Aircross's poor performance is alarming. It's crucial to note that this particular model is manufactured in Brazil, not India.

Despite having basic safety features like two front airbags and ESC, the Citroen C3 Aircross lacks critical elements. Missing components include curtain airbags, chest airbags, and AEB. These omissions contributed to its zero-star rating. The absence of these features poses significant risks to passengers.
The car's safety ratings are notably low, with only 33% for adult protection and 11.37% for child protection. These figures underscore the vehicle's inadequacy in ensuring passenger safety. The lack of advanced safety systems further exacerbates these concerns.
The absence of essential safety features creates a hazardous environment for both the driver and front passenger. The risk to the chest and thigh areas is particularly concerning. This deficiency is a key reason for the vehicle's failure to earn any stars in safety assessments.

In India, the Citroen C3 Aircross is available but differs from the Brazilian version tested. The Indian variant has achieved slightly better safety ratings, alleviating some concerns for local consumers. Therefore, there's no immediate cause for alarm regarding this specific rating.
While the Brazilian-manufactured Citroen C3 Aircross has raised eyebrows due to its poor crash test results, it's important to differentiate it from models available in other markets. The Indian version offers improved safety features, reflecting regional adaptations to meet local standards.
