Citroen has been on the back foot for a very long time as the French automaker lacked an automatic gearbox option on its C3 Aircross. Now, the company has addressed this by launching the new Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic in India.

Variants & Pricing

The newly launched Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic SUV is available in 3 variants - Plus AT 5 seater, Max AT 5 seater, and Ma AT 5+2 seater. Out of these variants, the base 'Plus AT 5 seater' model is priced at Rs 12.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

On the other hand, the higher-spec Max AT 5 seater variant is priced at Rs 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom), and the 5+2 seater iteration is priced at Rs 13.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

Engine

Powering the newly launched Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic SUV is the familiar 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine. However, this engine has been tuned to dish out an additional 15Nm of torque for peak torque output of 205Nm.

That being said, the peak power output from this 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine remains the same as manual variants at 108.4bhp - A decent power output for a vehicle of this size.

Gearbox

Coming to the gearbox, the Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic comes with a proper automatic transmission - A 6-speed torque converter unit. This gearbox also comes with a manual gear selector mode as well.

Fuel Efficiency

However, despite using a torque converter gearbox and a turbocharged engine, the fuel efficiency hasn't taken a huge hit. In fact, the C3 Aircross SUV Automatic boasts an ARAI-certified mileage of 17.6km/l, which is very commendable for a 3-row SUV in India.

Citroen has also infused automatic variant of C3 Aircross with features such as Remote Engine Start and Remote AC preconditioning - Features that will be convenient for a wide range of users in India.

Other interesting features include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a new 7-inch TFT cluster, and multiple USB charging ports. Furthermore, the boot space remains large at 511 litres.
