Renault Group Welcomes Christian Stein As Chief Communications Officer In Strategic Move
Christian Stein will assume the role of Chief Communications Officer at Renault Group starting 16 September, succeeding Stéphanie Cau. Reporting directly to CEO Luca de Meo, Stein will oversee communications for all Group activities. His extensive industry experience is expected to aid Renault's transformation into a leading European automotive company amid significant industry changes.
Renault Group is accelerating its innovation efforts in strategy, new ranges, and technologies. Christian Stein's expertise will be crucial in promoting the company's turnaround and products to various audiences. He will lead a renewed team with recognised communication skills, all driven by a shared passion for the company's mission.

Luca de Meo expressed confidence in Stein's abilities, stating, "I am delighted to welcome Christian into the management team. Christian has worked alongside me for many years and he has my full confidence. Stein began his career at PSA in 1991, where he held increasing responsibilities within sales and marketing until 2011. His roles took him across Belgium, France, Spain, and the UK. In 2011, he joined Volkswagen Group as Global Marketing Director for SEAT before becoming Global Communications and Public Affairs Director for SEAT S.A., overseeing SEAT and CUPRA brands from 2015.
After over two decades abroad, Stein returned to France in November 2020 as Renault Group's Director of Brand Communications. By November 2023, he had advanced to Director of Revenue & Customer Experience at Ampere.
