Chevrolet Donates To Breast Cancer Research During October NASCAR Races

Chevrolet is reaffirming its dedication to combating breast cancer for the 14th year in a row. The company will support the American Cancer Society's 'Making Strides Against Breast Cancer' initiative. This October, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chevrolet will reintroduce the pink-themed Chevrolet Camaro SS as the official pace car for NASCAR Cup Series races at Talladega Superspeedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The pink Chevrolet Camaro SS will not only lead under caution but also contribute financially. For each caution lap completed during these races, Chevrolet pledges to donate $350 to the 'Making Strides Against Breast Cancer' initiative, with a maximum contribution of $50,000. In 2023, this effort resulted in a donation of $40,250 from 115 caution laps.

Chevrolet Supports Breast Cancer Research in NASCAR

Alyssa Haba, Motorsports Strategic Planning and Operations Manager for Chevrolet, expressed pride in their ongoing partnership with the American Cancer Society. "We are proud to continue our partnership with the American Cancer Society and carry the ACS logo on the pace car during the month of October," she stated. "It is always an honor to be able to utilize our platform in motorsports to support the initiative and continue to play a role in the fight against breast cancer."

In addition to financial contributions, Chevrolet offers unique experiences for breast cancer survivors and caregivers at each race event. These special guests receive an unforgettable opportunity as part of Chevrolet's commitment to raising awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer.

This weekend marks the first appearance of the pink Chevrolet Camaro SS on track this season at Talladega Superspeedway. It will serve as the pace car for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race. The initiative highlights Chevrolet's dedication to using its motorsport platform for a meaningful cause.

Chevrolet's efforts demonstrate how corporate partnerships can make a significant impact in raising awareness and funds for important causes like breast cancer research and support. By combining motorsport excitement with charitable giving, they continue to play an active role in this vital fight.
