Elegance And History Collide At The 2024 Cartier Style Et Luxe Concours D’elegance
Goodwood has announced the seven classes for the Cartier Style et Luxe at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. The event, taking place from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 July, will feature a diverse range of vehicles, from vintage tractors to the renowned Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost.
For the first time since its inception in 1995, the Cartier Style et Luxe Concours will showcase vintage tractors. Models like the Porsche AP18 and Lamborghini 2R will highlight their significance in agriculture and mechanical engineering.
The concours d’elegance will celebrate 90 years of the Bugatti Type 57. This collection will include cars built by Corsica, Figoni, and Atalante, showcasing Jean and Ettore Bugatti’s luxurious Grand Tourer vision.
Beach Cars
A collection of rare beach cars will be displayed, marking the 60th anniversary of Meyers Manx's original beach buggy. This celebration will continue at the Goodwood Revival in September with over 100 beach buggies participating in the opening parade.
Silver Ghosts
In honour of Rolls-Royce's 120th anniversary, a class dedicated to the Silver Ghost will feature pre-1926 coach-built models. These vehicles were designed by Arthur Milliner, Barker, Willoughby, and others.
Marcello Gandini
The career of Marcello Gandini will be celebrated with two classes devoted to his automotive creations. Vehicles such as the Lamborghini Miura, Renault 5 Turbo, Maserati Khamsin, and Alfa Romeo Montreal will be on display.
Pagani
The 25th anniversary of the Pagani Zonda will be marked with a display of various models. This includes C12’s, roadsters, and several one-off designs that highlight Horacio Pagani’s unique aesthetic.
This year’s Cartier Style et Luxe Lawn promises a varied selection of vehicles judged by experts on Sunday afternoon. Further announcements about the 2024 Festival of Speed will be made in the coming weeks. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday tickets are sold out; limited Thursday tickets remain available at goodwood.com.
