Cadillac Introduces The 2026 LYRIQ-V As Its First Electric SUV With V-Series Badge
Cadillac has unveiled its first electric SUV to receive the V-Series badge: the 2026 LYRIQ-V. This model, set to launch early next year, elevates the performance standards of Cadillac's V-Series sub-brand. The LYRIQ-V will be available in select global markets, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with more locations to be announced later.
"The LYRIQ-V is a truly remarkable representation of the luxury, performance and innovation prowess that are the foundations of the Cadillac brand," stated John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac. "The Cadillac portfolio is even greater with our newest addition."
The V-Series, marking its 20th anniversary this year, stands as Cadillac’s performance sub-brand. It sets a benchmark for both performance and innovation within General Motors. As we enter the era of electric vehicles (EVs), V-Series models will be known for their outstanding performance, quick acceleration, competitive range, and standard all-wheel drive.
General Motors (NYSE:GM) is at the forefront of transportation's future. The company uses advanced technology to create safer and smarter vehicles with lower emissions. GM's brands—Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC—offer a diverse range of innovative gasoline-powered vehicles alongside an extensive selection of EVs as they transition towards an all-electric future.
The introduction of LYRIQ-V signifies a significant step for Cadillac in expanding its global market presence. Initially available in left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive configurations in key markets such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, Cadillac plans to announce additional markets soon.
This strategic move aligns with General Motors' broader vision of advancing transportation technology while maintaining a commitment to luxury and performance. By integrating cutting-edge technology into their vehicles, GM aims to enhance safety features while reducing environmental impact.
The LYRIQ-V exemplifies Cadillac's dedication to combining luxury with high-performance capabilities. As part of GM's extensive portfolio, it showcases their commitment to innovation in both traditional gasoline-powered vehicles and electric alternatives.
