These vehicles are designed specifically for the European market, incorporating BYD's advanced blade battery and powertrain technologies.
The BYD E-VALI, a 3.5t/4.25t light commercial vehicle (LCV), makes its world premiere at IAA Transportation 2024. This pure-electric LCV is tailored for last-mile and parcel delivery services in Europe. It boasts substantial cargo capacity and integrates stylish design with energy-efficient EV technologies. The vehicle is equipped with BYD's latest Blade Battery technology, ensuring safety, durability, and efficiency.
Michael Shu, Managing Director of BYD Europe, stated, "BYD’s goal of cooling the earth by one degree is a vision that can only be achieved through a wide variety of applications. We’re delighted to show another part of this here at IAA, with a line-up of commercial vehicles, including new models that are tailored to Europe. We’re optimistic that the E-VALI and EYT 2.0 can make significant contributions to more sustainable solutions in areas as diverse as last-mile deliveries and major distribution hubs."
The BYD EYT 2.0 Electric Yard Tractor also makes its European debut at IAA 2024. Designed for ports, terminals, and distribution centres, this robust vehicle features an offset cab for excellent comfort and visibility. With a Gross Combined Weight (GCW) of up to 75t, it handles substantial containers and trailers effortlessly. The tractor is powered by the ultra-safe BYD Blade Battery, offering up to 16 hours of working time with quick charging between shifts.
Joining these new entries are other notable BYD eTrucks on display at the event. These include the BYD ETM6 and ETH8 models, both designed for specific needs in the European market. The ETM6 is a manoeuvrable 7.5T pure-electric truck ideal for inner-city distribution with a range of up to 200km on a full load.
BYD ETM6: Ideal for Urban Distribution
The BYD ETM6 stands out as an optimal solution for zero-emission inner-city distribution tasks. This 7.5T pure-electric truck features a modern design philosophy with a high-tech cab for driver comfort. It benefits from BYD’s exclusive ePlatform developed for eTrucks, ensuring safety and energy efficiency.
The ETM6 has been operational in Europe for over three years, proving its reliability in various applications. It offers DC charging capabilities (120 kW), allowing it to charge from 20% to 100% in just one hour.
Versatile Multipurpose Platform: The BYD ETH8
The imposing BYD ETH8 is another highlight at IAA Transportation 2024. This versatile 19T eTruck suits logistics and sanitation services with its multipurpose platform and two wheelbase options. It operates quietly with excellent handling and manoeuvrability while offering a practical range of up to 250 km.
