BYD Seal EV Bookings Open – Opportunity To Win Ticket To UEFA EURO 2024 Match

BYD India has opened bookings for their upcoming model, the BYD Seal EV. This upcoming electric sedan from BYD is scheduled to be launched on March 5, 2024. This makes the BYD Seal EV, the third product after the likes of BYD Atto 3 and BYD e6.

To attract more customers, BYD is offering an opportunity to win a free ticket to the UEFA EURO 2024 match for customers booking the upcoming BYD Seal EV before the end of April 2024. This offer even includes the round-trip flight from India to the match city.

BYD Seal EV Bookings Open

The new BYD Seal EV design strongly reflects the Ocean X concept. According to BYD, the "ocean aesthetics" design language stands out with its LED headlamps, bumper-mounted boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, and full-width LED tail lights. Other details include a fixed glass roof and flush-fitted door handles.

In terms of dimensions, the BYD Seal EV measures 4,800mm long, 1,875mm wide, and 1,460mm tall. Moreover, the wheelbase measures a generous 2,920mm. What's also interesting is the BYD Seal EV sports a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.

On the inside, the BYD Seal EV comes loaded with amenities. Standout features include a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment unit, a large 10.25-inch digital instrument display, a climate control unit, central AC vents, drive selector, heated windscreen, volume controls for the audio system, and 2 wireless charging pads.

It is also worth mentioning that the BYD Seal EV comes with a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. Moreover, the Seal EV comes with ADAS tech which includes features such as autonomous emergency braking, collision avoidance assist, adaptive cruise, lane support, speed detection systems, and lane departure warning.

Powering the BYD Seal EV is an 82.5kWh battery pack, which in turn powers the rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with 230bhp and 360Nm of torque. BYD claims a range of 570km and an acceleration time of 5.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill.

As the BYD Seal EV sports a large battery pack, the company has equipped the model to support 150kW fast charging, through which it can charge from 10-80 per cent in 37 minutes. Also, the model supports a regular 11kW AC charger, taking 8.6 hours for a full charge.

Thoughts About The BYD Seal EV

We expect the BYD Seal EV to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the BYD Seal EV will be facing off against the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Volvo C40 Recharge, and the BMW i4.

To fend off such strong competitors, BYD must offer more for the money than any of its nearest competitors. Also, by looking at the stats, we think BYD is doing just that.
