BYD Seal: Platform and Powertrain
The BYD Seal is based on the e-platform 3.0, similar to the Atto 3 and the Dolphin. It uses an 800V electrical architecture.
The batteries are available in two sizes and use BYD's patented blade technology. The 61.44kWh battery comes with a 201bhp rear-axle-mounted electric motor, while the 82.56kWh battery is paired with a 308bhp rear-mounted motor.
The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variants of the Seal, producing 523bhp, offer a claimed range of 580km. This advanced technology ensures a robust performance and long driving range, catering to the needs of Indian consumers.
