The Invicto, however, is powered by a 2.0-liter hybrid petrol engine, offering a combined output of 183bhp. Its engine and electric motor generate torques of 188Nm and 206Nm, respectively. While it may not match the BYD in terms of raw performance or running costs, the Invicto excels in its ability to cover longer distances without the need for frequent charging stops.
Interior and Features Comparison
Inside the cabin, both MPVs promise ample space and comfort, but with varying degrees of technology and amenities. The eMax 7 can accommodate up to seven passengers comfortably, thanks to its spacious interior devoid of a transmission tunnel. It boasts a 12.8-inch digital infotainment display capable of rotating for vertical or horizontal use, vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and ventilated seats.
In contrast, the Invicto, though offering seating for up to eight passengers, provides a more modest tech suite. It includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, and essential safety features such as ABS and airbags. However, the absence of an ADAS system is a notable omission at its price point.
Range, Efficiency/Charging
In terms of range and charging capabilities, the eMax 7 sets a high standard for electric vehicles with a claimed maximum range of 530 km. It also supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% within just 37 minutes.
The Invicto, on the other hand, leverages its hybrid system to offer a fuel economy of 23.4 km/l, with a 52-litre fuel tank extending its range significantly on long journeys, bypassing the need for electric charging infrastructure.
Price
Pricing plays a crucial role in the decision-making process for potential buyers. The eMax 7's price range starts from ₹26.90 lakh and goes up to ₹29.90 lakh, offering long-term savings on running and maintenance costs.
The Invicto, priced between ₹25.21 lakh and ₹28.92 lakh, presents itself as a more economical choice upfront, especially for families prioritizing fuel efficiency and practicality in a hybrid vehicle.
