BYD eMAX7 MPV To Be Launched In India On October 8
BYD is preparing to introduce the eMAX7 MPV in India. Reports have disclosed the launch date for this vehicle. The eMAX7 MPV will officially debut in India on 8th October. Customers will soon be able to book this electric vehicle.
The eMAX7 is an electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). This model is not entirely new to the Indian market, as BYD already offers the e6 electric MPV here. BYD has revamped the e6 model with new features and a fresh name.

The redesigned MPV provides more space and offers seating for six or seven passengers, making it ideal for larger families. Reports indicate that BYD has altered the car's design, though official details are pending. More information is anticipated soon.
Based on current data, the new eMAX7 will include a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, wireless phone charging, and a large panoramic sunroof. The MPV will also feature ventilated seats for added comfort. Safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring, and disc brakes.
The eMAX7 is expected to incorporate a Level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). The M6 model in Indonesia already includes these features.
In Indonesia, it comes with two battery options: 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh. These options are likely to be available in India too, though changes might occur. On top of that, two electric motor choices are anticipated to be offered in the upcoming BYD eMAX7 MPV.
DriveSpark Thinks
The demand for electric vehicles in India has been rising but recently faced challenges due to the absence of the FAME 2 scheme. The government is working on solutions to address this issue.
That being said, electric vehicles in the Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh price bracket are gaining a lot of momentum in the country. As such, the launch of BYD eMAX7 may help BYD establish itself as a major player in the Indian EV segment.
