BYD eMAX7 Launched In India At Rs 26.90 Lakh – Available With Two Battery Pack Options
The BYD eMAX7 has been officially introduced to the Indian market, with prices beginning at Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This model serves as an updated version of the BYD e6, showcasing a sleeker design, enhanced features, and an increased range. The vehicle is now open for bookings and comes in two distinct trims: Premium and Superior.
This electric MPV is powered by a choice of two battery packs, one at 55.4kWh and the other at 71.8kWh, providing an impressive range of up to 530km as per NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) claims. The eMAX7 distinguishes itself with these power options, ensuring it meets the needs of differing driving distances and styles.

A significant upgrade from its predecessor, the eMAX7's exterior features modern LED headlamps and a grille reminiscent of the Atto 3. It retains the silhouette of the e6 but is enhanced with new 17-inch alloy wheels and a more refined rear design. Offered in four attractive colours, including Quartz Blue and Harbour Grey, it makes a stylish statement on the road.
Inside, the eMAX7 boasts a luxurious dual-tone theme, with a dashboard adorned with chrome accents and seats covered in brown leatherette. The updated steering wheel and ambient lighting on the doors add to the premium feel of the cabin. It is available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations, ensuring versatility for families and group travelers.
Key features of this MPV include a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen display, ventilated front seats, and advanced safety measures such as six airbags and Level 2 ADAS, which includes lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a 360-degree camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system, emphasizing passenger safety and convenience.
Performance-wise, the eMAX7 offers two power outputs depending on the battery pack, with the higher capacity version delivering 204PS and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 8.6 seconds. Both versions support fast charging capabilities, making it practical for both short and long-distance travel.
The BYD eMAX7 provides a unique option in the market, standing as an electric alternative to popular models like the Toyota Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta. With no direct competitors in its segment, it occupies a niche for those seeking an eco-friendly, high-capacity vehicle.
