BYD eMax 7 Launching In India Tomorrow: Here’s What To Expect
India is all set to witness the launch of the latest entrant to the four-wheeler market, the BYD eMax 7. The eMax 7 is the redesigned and remodelled version of the BYD e6 which was sold in India earlier. Tomorrow (Oct 8th) will mark the official launch of this new electric MPV.
This, however, isn't the first time India is hearing of the BYD eMax 7 - bookings of the vehicle opened on September 21st. BYD has also said that the customers who book the vehicle on or before the 8th of October will get a free 7kW and 3kW charger worth Rs. 51,000.

Design Overhaul
In terms of design, it's not a huge change. There are a few small exterior changes such as a sleeker front-end with thin LED lighting and a grille that matches the aesthetic. Moving to the rear, new LED tail lights and a different rear bumper is seen.
Inside most of the design overhauls are seen. Firstly, the eMax 7 will now come with a third row, something that the BYD e6 needed. For the second row, we could see captain seats or a regular seating position. For tech, a panoramic sunroof and a new infotainment system could be seen.

Powertrain
The BYD e6 which was sold earlier in India came with a 71.8kWh battery pack but now with the eMax 7, we may also see a smaller battery option. This battery pack pushes the motor to produce 204hp and 310Nm of peak torque.
Internationally, however, the eMax 7 comes with two battery options: a 55.4kWh which can travel upto 420km on a single charge, and a 71.8kWh that can push the car for around 530km on one charge.

Pricing
In terms of pricing, we could see the BYD eMax 7 placed at around the Rs. 30 Lakh mark as the e6 was priced a little below and the Atto 3 is priced a couple of lakhs above.
