BMW To Showcase New X3 And M4 CS At Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2024

BMW is set to make a significant impact at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed with the world premiere of the new BMW X3. The event will also feature another major debut from the BMW Group. Both vehicles will be unveiled at BMW’s Trackside stand on Thursday, 11 July, at 10:30 am (BST).

The festival will mark the first UK appearance of the exclusive BMW M4 CS. This model will be joined by the BMW XM Label on the hill. Attendees can also witness the BMW M Hybrid V8 and BMW R20 concept in action. The Stable Yard will showcase BMW’s Vision Neue Klasse, BMW Concept Skytop, and the unique BMW i5 Flow NOSTOKANA.

The new BMW X3 M50 xDrive, the fourth generation of this SAV, will be unveiled at Goodwood. This model features a powerful six-cylinder in-line petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid technology. It delivers a maximum output of 398 hp and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds.

Performance Highlights

The new BMW M4 CS, powered by a high-revving six-cylinder in-line 3.0-litre engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, will tackle the famous 1.16-mile course in the ‘First Glance’ category. With an engine output of 550 hp, it accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

Historic Racing Cars

BMW Group Classic will participate in the Hillclimb with an array of historic racing cars, including the iconic BMW V12 LMR. The team will also bring the BMW 318i touring car and the BMW2002 TIK to Goodwood’s Hillclimb.

BMW Motorrad's Presence

BMW Motorrad will showcase its latest design masterpiece, the BMW R20 concept, which features the legendary air-oil cooled Big Boxer engine. This model can be seen in the ‘First Glance and Road Bikes’ category, while a BMW R255/1 Compressor will feature in ‘Batch 4’.

Stable Yard Exhibits

The Stable Yard will transform into a tranquil location showcasing luxury and technology. Highlights include the BMW Concept Skytop, an open-top two-seater with unique design elements, and the one-of-a-kind BMW i5 Flow NOSTOKANA with colour-change technology.

Luxury Models on Display

The Stable Yard will also feature BMW’s latest range of luxury cars, including the flagship saloon BMW i7 and the recently launched BMW i5 Touring. Additionally, two e-vehicles from BMW Motorrad – the BMW CE 02 and CE 04 – will be displayed.
