BMW Achieves Stellar Performance With Double Podiums At MotoAmerica Mid-Ohio
Cameron Beaubier, riding the No. 6 Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW M 1000 RR, achieved two podium finishes at the MotoAmerica Superbikes event in Mid-Ohio. His teammate JD Beach joined him on the podium in Race 1, while Sean Dylan Kelly, on the No. 40 EasyHealthPlans.com/TopPro Racing Team BMW M 1000 RR, joined him in Race 2.
Both Beaubier and Kelly set the fastest times during all Superbike practice and qualifying sessions. This performance allowed them to start both Steel Commander Superbike races from the front row, giving them a strategic advantage.
In Race 1, Beaubier faced a challenging start and had to work his way back through the field. Meanwhile, JD Beach was running third and Kelly was in sixth place. As Beaubier made his way forward, he joined Beach at the front. With two laps remaining, the second-place rider went off-course, enabling both Tytlers Cycle Racing riders to secure second and third places.
Race 2 saw excellent starts from both Kelly and Beaubier. Kelly took an early lead but faced a close battle with a Ducati rider. With two laps left, Kelly was pushed back to second place while Beaubier finished third.
The Stock 1000 riders did not compete at Mid-Ohio during this event.
