BMW M340i xDrive Launched In India At Rs 74.90 Lakh
German luxury carmaker BMW has launched the latest version of the BMW M340i xDrive sedan in India. Now being assembled locally at the BMW Plant in Chennai, the new BMW M340i xDrive is priced at Rs 74.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powering the BMW M340i xDrive is a 2,998cc turbocharged straight-six petrol engine, delivering 369bhp and 500Nm of peak torque. This engine, combined with the eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and the XDrive all-wheel-drive system enables the M340i xDrive to accelerate from 0 to 100km/hr in just 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 250km/h.
The updated BMW M340i vents its fury at the world through a M Sport exhaust system. The M340i xDrive also comes fitted with M Sport rear differential and M Sport suspension as standard to hel those who like a more enthusasic drive take full advantage of the dynamic driving capabilities of the sporty sedan.
The design of the new BMW M340i xDrive is as sporty as ever, with a front end that presents a wide, aggressive stance. It features a black mesh style BMW kidney grille, Adaptive LED headlights with blue accents, and M Lights Shadowline for a sporty tint.
The rear boasts slim, darkened L-shaped LED taillights and a body-coloured M rear spoiler. The new M340i rides on 19-inch Jet Black Alloy Wheels behind which sit Red M Sport Brakes Calipers clamping down on the sport's sedan's disc brakes. The BMW M340i boasts a range of metallic paintworks, including Dravit Grey, Black Sapphire, Fire Red Metallic, and Arctic Race Blue.
Inside, the car integrates luxury with comfort, highlighted by the new digital BMW Curved Display that sports the dual instrumentation and infotainent displays. The interior boasts sport seats with Leather Vernasca upholstery, a newly designed steering wheel with a red centre marker, and features such as M High Gloss Shadowline and Carbon Fibre interior trim strips. The Harman Kardon Surround Sound system offers an exceptional audio experience allowing owners to hear their favourite tunes in all their glory.
For those seeking to further personalize their vehicle, optional M Performance Accessories are available. These include Carbon Fiber elements that enhance the car's visual appeal and reduce weight.
The BMW M340i sports the German marque's ConnectedDrive technology that adds a range of features including Digital Key Plus, Emergency Call, and real-time Traffic Information. The BMW iDrive with Operating System 8.5 runs the infotainment screen offers interaction via touch, gesture, or speech and is complemented by the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant system.
An extensive array of driver assistance systems are available on the new BMW M340i, including Parking Assistant with Rear View Camera and Reversing Assistant, that make maneuvering and parking more convenient.
