Entry-Level BMW iX2 eDrive20 Revealed: 476km Range & More
BMW recently unveiled the specifications of the entry-level iX2 eDrive20, offering consumers a more accessible option compared to the previously revealed eDrive30 trim. Despite its entry-level status, the iX2 eDrive20 packs a punch with impressive features and capabilities.
By ditching the rear electric motor found in the eDrive30 variant, the eDrive20 model channels power solely to the front wheels, delivering a respectable 204bhp and 250Nm of torque through a single-speed transmission. While this may seem modest compared to its higher-trim counterpart, it's more than sufficient.

The iX2 eDrive20 can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 170km/h. Although it is not the same as the eDrive30 trim, which does a 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 180km/h, the eDrive20 still offers performance for everyday driving scenarios.
One of the most notable features of the iX2 eDrive20 is its efficient powertrain and battery system. Built on the same platform as the BMW X2, both iX2 trims utilize a 64.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

With a 10-80% charging time of just 29 minutes via DC fast charging, capable of reaching a maximum charging rate of 130kW, the iX2 eDrive20 offers remarkable convenience for charging on the go.
In terms of range, the iX2 eDrive20 offers an impressive driving range of between 440 and 476 kilometres on a single charge. This surpasses the range of its heavier AWD counterpart and making it a great option for urban commuters and those who rarely embark on long journeys.
