BMW Group India Initiates Monsoon Service Campaign For Enhanced Car Safety
BMW Group India has introduced a Monsoon Service campaign to prepare cars for the upcoming monsoon season. The campaign will be held across India and aims to ensure that BMW and MINI vehicles are in peak condition to handle the unique weather challenges.
Daniel Lugonjic, Director - Customer Support, BMW India, stated that the initiative is designed to provide thorough inspections, maintenance, and necessary upgrades to enhance the safety and performance of the vehicles.
The Monsoon Service camp offers useful information and tips on effective vehicle management, on-time maintenance, and overall understanding of BMW and MINI vehicles. Certified BMW and MINI technical experts will conduct comprehensive vehicle checks and basic Condition-Based Services if needed.
Customers can book prior appointments for car servicing at workshops and update their personal details to receive special promotions and offers from their dealer.

Complimentary Services under the Monsoon Campaign
The Monsoon Campaign offers a complimentary service to get your car ready for the rainy season. They'll check your windscreen wipers, washer system, and washer fluid level to ensure optimal visibility during downpours. Additionally, they'll make sure your rain light sensor is functioning correctly, automatically activating wipers and headlights when needed.
Light safety is a priority too, so all front and rear lights will be checked for proper operation. They'll even adjust your headlight and fog light alignment for better illumination in low-visibility conditions.
Your safety is paramount, and the Monsoon Campaign doesn't neglect that. They'll test your horn function to ensure you can alert other drivers in bad weather. They'll also check the condition of your micro filters and replace them if necessary to maintain clean air quality inside the cabin.
To keep water out, they'll inspect the weather strips on your doors, trunk lid, sunroof cover seals, and drainpipes. They'll even check the trunk lid ventilation to prevent moisture build-up.
For engine and electrical systems, they'll clean the E-Box (engine control unit box) for optimal performance. They'll also inspect the dummy steering gromet on the engine firewall and examine all electrical plug connections in the engine compartment.
Additionally, the underbody of your vehicle will be checked for damage, corrosion, and tightness, especially for BEV/PHEV models.
Finally, the Monsoon Campaign includes a thorough tire and underbody inspection. They'll check your tire tread depth (minimum 3mm), for any damage or irregular wear, and ensure they have the correct tire pressure.
They'll also visually inspect your exhaust system for leaks or breakage and your belt drive and damper pulley for cracks. For BEV/PHEV models, they'll examine the charging cable and high voltage charging socket for damage, corrosion, and wear.
