Bentley Unveils New Continental GT Speed In US With Bespoke Mulliner Design
Bentley has introduced the fourth-generation Continental GT Speed in the US, its largest market. This model, featuring bespoke elements from Mulliner, Bentley’s personalisation division, will debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on 16th August. This event marks the start of an official US tour for the new model, which includes customer test drives.
A unique orange-themed GT Speed created through Mulliner will lead the fleet at Monterey Car Week. The exterior is painted in Orange Flame Satin, one of 15 satin colours available. It takes up to 55 hours to apply and finish this paint to perfection. Gloss black brightware and matching black-painted 22" ten-spoke wheels with self-levelling badges complement the striking bodywork.
The interior showcases Mulliner’s Personal Commissioning Guide elements. Gravity Grey and Brunel leathers dominate the cabin, with contrast orange accents adding vibrancy. Diamond Quilted areas on seats, doors, and rear quarter panels feature Gravity Grey stitching. Piano Brunel and Mandarin accents enhance the fascias and air vents.
The new Continental GT Speed features a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a powerful electric motor. This Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain delivers 782 PS (771 bhp) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb.ft), making it Bentley’s most powerful model yet. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 208 mph.
Bentley will have a significant presence at Monterey Car Week with over 30 new Continental GT Speeds ready for a nationwide dealer tour. The Speed Six Continuation Series and a restored 1961 S2 Drophead Coupe will also be showcased. The S2 Drophead Coupe will participate in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Sunday.
The new Continental GT Speed continues Bentley's tradition of blending supercar performance with handcrafted luxury. It features an all-new chassis system with two-chamber air springs and dual-valve dampers for improved ride comfort and body control. The car also boasts advanced driver assistance systems, infotainment, and connected car services.
Innovative Design and Technology
The exterior design represents Bentley’s future journey with significant revisions to the face of the Continental GT. It is the first mainstream Bentley with single headlamps since the 1950s. Inside, wellness seat technology, air ionisation, three-dimensional leather textures, modern quilting, and dark chrome finishes enhance comfort and luxury.
For the first time in Continental GT history, both coupe and convertible models are being launched simultaneously. Production will begin in late Q3 at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England, with deliveries starting in Q4.
Bentley Motors remains a leading luxury car brand globally, headquartered in Crewe where all operations including design, R&D, engineering, Mulliner personalisation, and production take place. Employing around 4,000 people at Crewe, Bentley combines fine craftsmanship passed down through generations with cutting-edge technology unique to UK luxury car brands.
