One Part Of This Luxury Car Is 200 Million Years Old - The Ultimate Luxury Flex?

British luxury marque Bentley's bespoke Mulliner division has revealed the Expressions of Texture collection, commissioned by Bentley Rancho Mirage dealership in California. The bespoke collection is limited to just four special units of the Bentley Continental GT Speed convertible.

While these four drop-top Bentleys are special in their own right, there is one interior part on these ultra-rare luxury barges that is the showstopper here. All four special-edition Bentleys sport wafer-thin stone veneers that the British marque claims are 200 million years old.

The four bespoke GT Speed Convertibles show just how custom customers can get with their Bentley ultra-luxury cars when the firm's bespoke Mulliner division gets involved in the process. The Expressions of Texture collection is inspired by the landscapes, scenery and skies around Palm Springs, California where the Bentley Rancho Mirage dealership is located.

Each bespoke Bentley from the collection sports a paint colour from Mulliner's exclusive colour palette, with each finish taking up to 55 hours to be applied to the GT Speed Convertible's exterior. The interiors feature bespoke, blind embossed, upholstery whose design reflects the landscapes of the Colorado Desert's Coachella Valley.

The first of the four Expressions of Texture collection cars is finished in Peacock Blue satin enhanced by a tri-tone carbon fibre featuring satin carbon fibre, Electro Blue and Peacock Blue. The interior features luxurious Peacock Blue satin and slate-stone veneer with Electro Blue highlights and serenity quilting on the seat uppers and tonneau cover.

The second Continental GT Speed convertible in the collection sports a Ghost White Pearl satin paint job along with Tungsten wheels and a Silver Tempest pinstripe. The interior fascia and console in Ghost White Pearl satin over Autumn Stone veneer look sophisticated and the car sports blind quilting of the seat uppers and tonneau cover inspired by the desert dunes.

The third car sports a Havana satin paint scheme inspired by the rugged mountains that surround the Coachella Valley. The design of the Cognac and Burnt Oak blind quilted seat backs and tonneau cover represent the topographic features of California's Death Valley. The Havana Satin fascia and Copper Stone veneer are divided by a pinstripe in Bronze.

The final car of this very special collection sports a more traditional look with a British Racing Green satin exterior paint scheme while the interior sports stone veneers and recycled Dinamica upholstery.
