Bentley Motors Reveals The Batur Convertible: Ultimate Luxury And Customization

Bentley Motors has recently announced the launch of the Batur Convertible, marking it as the third coachbuilt model in its modern lineup. This exclusive vehicle, produced by Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke division and the world's oldest coachbuilder, follows the introduction of the Bacalar barchetta and Batur coupe. With only 16 units slated for production worldwide, the Batur Convertible emerges as a pinnacle of exclusivity and luxury in automotive design.

The vehicle boasts a two-door, two-seat configuration complemented by a retractable roof, enhancing its allure with a blend of luxury and open-air grandeur. It stands out with unique personalization options, including an 'airbridge' feature and interior detailing in Rose Gold. Under the hood, the Batur Convertible is powered by Bentley's renowned 750 PS W12 engine, making it one of the last models to feature this iconic engine before its discontinuation this summer.

The design of the Batur Convertible ingeniously merges elements from both the Bacalar and Batur models, offering a 'wraparound' cockpit experience alongside the dramatic 'airbridge' located behind the seats. The convertible roof itself is engineered for convenience, capable of being deployed or stowed in just 19 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph. This functionality allows for a seamless transition from a sophisticated coupe to an elegant open-top grand tourer.

Emphasizing personalization, Bentley has ensured that each Batur Convertible will be co-created with its client. Mulliner's design team will employ a special visualizer tool to assist customers in selecting colors and finishes for every aspect of their vehicle. Options extend to paint colors, exterior brightware, and even 3D printed rose gold cabin details, ensuring a highly customized and personal touch.

Handcrafted in Mulliner's workshop within Bentley's carbon-neutral factory in Crewe, England, the production of the Batur Convertible is limited to just 16 units. Each vehicle will harness the power of Bentley's W12 engine, delivering an impressive performance with 750 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. The engineering development car, known as Batur Convertible Car #0, showcases bespoke Vermillion Gloss and Satin Duo tone paintwork, carbon fiber splitters and diffuser, a distinctive grille design, and 22" wheels.

Bentley Motors continues to stand at the forefront of luxury automotive craftsmanship and engineering excellence. With its headquarters in Crewe, England serving as the hub for all operations including design, R&D, engineering, and production, Bentley remains committed to innovation while employing approximately 4,000 individuals at its Crewe facility.
