Automotive Industry Rallies For Ben’s Big Walk Fundraising Challenge
Automotive industry charity, Ben, is urging individuals within the sector to participate in its new Big Walk fundraising challenge on 8th September. Coinciding with National Walking Month in May, Ben’s Big Walk invites members of the automotive community to sign up and take part in this initiative.
The charity encourages participants to gather friends, family, and colleagues for the event. There are two locations available: the South Downs and Hadrian’s Wall. Participants can choose between a full marathon or a half marathon distance.

The South Downs walk begins just outside Brighton, offering participants stunning views and challenging terrain before concluding in Eastbourne. Meanwhile, the Hadrian's Wall trek takes participants along one of Northern Europe’s largest ancient monuments, set within a historic landscape.
Both routes present a demanding yet fulfilling challenge, with ample support from fellow automotive industry members. The event aims to raise essential funds at a time when Ben is assisting more people than ever.
Matt Wigginton, Director of Partnerships, Engagement & Income at Ben, stated: "We’re inviting all members of our automotive family to take a step in the right direction and sign up for our new fundraising challenge, Ben’s Big Walk. As May is National Walking Month, we thought what better time to launch our new event and get people to step into the challenge in time for September."
Wigginton added, "Step up today for people in our industry who are struggling or in crisis, because now more than ever, they need us and we need you!"
