BEDEO To Launch Reborn Electric Retrofit For Commercial Vans At IAA Show
BEDEO, a prominent name in electrification solutions for light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and fleets, is set to unveil its Reborn Electric retrofit programme at the IAA Transportation show in Germany from 16-22 September 2024. This European debut marks a significant milestone for the company, which will partner with a strategic ally to be announced on 16 September.
Since its inception in 2009, BEDEO has established itself as a preferred partner for over forty blue-chip customers in logistics, e-commerce, and waste management. The company has created electric LCVs for notable clients like DHL, Ocado, and Stellantis. In collaboration with Stellantis since 2019, BEDEO supplies and assembles electric drivetrains for large LCVs (GVW: 3.5-4.5t).

The Reborn Electric systems offer fleet owners several benefits such as reduced total cost of ownership, decreased tailpipe emissions, lower carbon emissions during manufacturing, and the ability to retain the original vehicle’s fit-out. These advantages make it an attractive option for those looking to transition to more sustainable transportation solutions.
With European-wide net-zero targets approaching, BEDEO is focusing on retrofit solutions that convert existing diesel vans to fully electric or hybrid models through its Reborn Electric offering. This initiative is being rolled out both in the UK and major European markets.
Stellantis approved the Reborn Electric BE (battery electric) and RE (range extended) earlier this year. This approval opens up the retrofit market to BEDEO’s in-wheel motor (IWM) solution, which is designed to meet the next generation of fleet transformation needs.
Media Engagement Opportunities
Dedicated media interviews with Osman Boyner, CEO and Founder of BEDEO, will take place on 16 and 17 September. Journalists are encouraged to contact Hannah Burgess at [email protected] or İpek Gökçe at [email protected] to schedule interviews.
BEDEO’s vision is to decarbonise the LCV industry using proprietary electrification solutions like its IWM technology, inverter, battery pack, and cabling. The company holds over 300 patents and OEM production credentials in safety, production, and homologation through its group companies.
Expanding Horizons
BEDEO is also venturing into marine and aviation markets as part of its commitment to sustainable mobility. The company aims to lead the path towards a cleaner future by developing next-generation decarbonisation solutions.
The company's transformative approach has made it a preferred partner for many blue-chip customers in various sectors including logistics, e-commerce, online grocery and food retail, and urban waste management. Clients include Aras-Kargo, DHL, DPD, Migros, Ocado, TNT / FedEx among others.

The company’s headquarters are located in Farnham, UK with manufacturing facilities in Turkey and China. BEDEO continues to develop technology IP aimed at creating a more connected future through advanced electrification solutions.
This event promises to be an important platform for showcasing BEDEO's latest innovations in vehicle electrification technology.
