Nissan Magnite Facelift Vs Old Magnite: Base Variant Comparison

Nissan introduced the updated Magnite in India on 4th October, maintaining the starting ex-showroom price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) from the previous model. However, this introductory price applies to the first 10,000 bookings only.

Exterior Changes: Old Magnite Vs New Magnite

Although changes might appear minor, the facelifted version introduces several exterior styling updates visible even on base models. The facelift features a redesigned front with Gloss Black detailing on the grille and prominent Chrome trims on either side, available even in base variants.

The front bumper now includes a faux skid plate and larger fog lamp housing compared to the previous design. Chrome elements nearly touch the headlamps in the facelift, unlike its predecessor. On the sides, most elements remain unchanged except for Chrome door handles on the facelift's base variant, replacing body-coloured ones from before. Both models share an identical rear design.

Interior Enhancements: Old Magnite Vs New Magnite

The interior layout remains largely similar across both vehicles. However, Visia boasts improved door panels and interior trims with different colour schemes. Additionally, Visia includes rear armrests with cup holders and smartphone space.

Furthermore, the facelifted Nissan Magnite also offers 60:40 split rear seats with foldable armrest and cupholders. Whereas the pre-faclift Nissan Magnite features a single-piece rear seat and lacks armrest.'

Safety Improvement: Old Magnite Vs New Magnite

Safety is also enhanced on the new Nissan Magnite facelift with six airbags compared to just two in the pre-facelift model. In addition to that, the rear seats now feature ISOFIX mounts for added safety.

DriveSpark Thinks

These practical improvements come without additional cost as the base variant's price stays at 5.99 lakh ex-showroom. Previously, XE wasn't considered value-for-money (VFM), with XV Exe being more appealing. Now, Visia offers greater value than XE did due to these enhancements.

Nissan has adopted its global variant naming strategy for Magnite's facelifted version. Six variants are now available: Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+. This replaces older names like XE, XL, XV Exe, XV and XV Pre which may cause confusion for some buyers.

Despite its fancy name suggesting otherwise, Visia serves as the entry-level option among these variants. These changes reflect Nissan's effort to align with global standards while offering better value to Indian customers through thoughtful updates.
