B–ON To Showcase Pelkan Electric Van At Everything Electric NORTH Event

PARIS, 23 May 2024 – B–ON, a provider of clean mobility solutions, will showcase its all-electric Pelkan light commercial vehicle (eLCV) at the Everything Electric NORTH event. The event, powered by Fully Charged SHOW, will take place in Harrogate, UK, from 24 to 26 May. The Pelkan will be displayed in the GEOTAB Commercial Vehicle Zone, hosted by commercial vehicle expert Paul Kirby.

First revealed last month at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, UK, the Pelkan boasts a payload capacity of up to 1,350 kg and a range of up to 179 miles. The vehicle features a driver-centric cabin and starts at £30,000. It is available in both 43 and 54 kWh battery variants. Deliveries to mainland Europe are expected in Q4 2024, with right-hand drive versions for the UK market beginning in Q1 2025.

Paul Kirby commented on B–ON's inclusion in the exhibition: "The commercial vehicle landscape is shifting. We are seeing the change from diesel to electric starting to take hold and fleet buyers looking at electric options to meet their needs." He added that the Pelkan's payload and price-point make it a strong contender for fleet users.

The Pelkan is the first product launched under B–ON’s strategic partnership with global automaker Chery. This partnership includes a joint venture focused on developing, producing, and selling high-quality, low-cost electric commercial vehicles. B–ON will benefit from Chery’s manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering resources. In return, Chery gains access to B–ON’s sales network in Europe and North America, as well as engineering design and product development services.
