Automobili Pininfarina Debuts Cambiano-Inspired Bespoke Battista Hyper GT At Monterey Car Week
Automobili Pininfarina has unveiled a bespoke Battista hyper GT, celebrating its Cambiano home. This unique vehicle was showcased at the prestigious Monterey Car Week, highlighting the brand's dedication to craftsmanship and personalisation. The car, named 'A Piece of Cambiano in California,' pays homage to the atelier where each masterpiece is meticulously crafted to reflect the client's personality.
The bespoke Battista features several design elements linked to Cambiano. The livery on the underside of the active rear wing combines a map of the Cambiano region with a schematic of the Battista production line. Similar imagery is laser-engraved on the bespoke door plates, which also feature unique scripts: "Where Everything Starts" and "Fatto Con Amore in Italia" (Made with Love in Italy).
This car also illustrates how every client can select their own Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The unique 17-digit VIN ends in 020, referencing Cambiano's postal district of 10020. This option allows clients to associate significant numbers or dates with their vehicles, further personalising their cars.

He said, "With its unique and intimate connection to Cambiano, this Battista holds a truly special place in the heart of everyone at Automobili Pininfarina. We have lovingly curated a car that proudly displays the unmatched sophistication and finesse of our design heritage that stretches back almost 95 years."
The car’s two seats are also unique. It’s the first time the monochrome ‘dogtooth’ design from the B95 barchetta showcar – unveiled at last year’s Monterey Car Week – has been used on a production vehicle.
Monterey Car Week Highlights
The unveiling of this bespoke Battista was part of a trio of new vehicle launches by Automobili Pininfarina during Monterey Car Week. Following the world premieres of the B95 Gotham and Battista Targamerica on August 16th, this event showcased the endless possibilities of Automobili Pininfarina’s renowned bespoke personalisation programme.
The brand also hosted its first-ever Battista Owners’ Parade during Monterey Car Week. Ten vehicles participated in a drive around scenic roads near California's picturesque peninsula, illustrating how Automobili Pininfarina elevates its clients and ownership experience.
Client Experience
Paolo Dellachà, Chief Executive Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, highlighted the success of this year's Monterey Car Week for their brand. He stated, "This year’s Monterey Car Week has been a great success for our brand. It’s the fifth time we have attended, and this year we continued our tradition of bringing something new and thrilling for the world to see."
Following its reveal at Monterey Car Week, this unique Battista was transported to California retail partner Automobili Pininfarina Newport Beach. There it joined other Battistas and their owners for a special celebration before being delivered to its final home as part of a private collection.
Battista Specifications
The Battista is renowned as Italy's most powerful road-legal hypercar. It boasts 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm torque with a sub-two second sprint from 0-100 km/h. Its 120 kWh battery powers four electric motors – one at each wheel – providing up to 476 km (300 miles) range on a single charge according to WLTP standards.
No more than 150 examples will be hand-crafted at Cambiano's atelier. Each vehicle embodies Automobili Pininfarina's PURA design philosophy, blending classic inspiration with advanced technology.
This year's event also saw the debut of two other models: B95 Gotham hyper Barchetta and Battista Targamerica. The latter is noted as the world's first coach-built electric hypercar delivered to a client.
Paolo Dellachà added: "With Battista Targamerica we have created the world’s first coach-built EV hypercar and delivered it to its client, and with B95 Gotham we have brought to life our pioneering collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery."
This unique event vividly demonstrates how Automobili Pininfarina integrates clients into their family-like community while redefining expectations for ultra-luxury performance cars.
