AUTOID Reveals Limited Edition BMW G87 M2 TR87 With Performance Upgrades
The vehicle styling shop AUTOID has launched the new 2024 Limited Edition BMW G87 M2, named the 'TR87.' This exclusive model is limited to just 10 units. The TR87 package includes a complete carbon aero kit, suspension, and exhaust upgrades, with an optional handling package available.
TRE, a leading manufacturer of high-performance aftermarket carbon fibre parts, has introduced the V3 iteration of its popular TR87 bodykit for the BMW G87 M2. This update follows over 18 months of rigorous testing and development. Utilising advanced computer-aided design (CAD) methods and 3D-captured data from the G87 M2, the V3 TR87 kit ensures a perfect fit and cohesive design.
The V3 TR87 kit generates significant downforce, producing 108kg at 120mph with a balanced 50:50 distribution between the front splitter and rear wing. The rear wing is adjustable to optimise performance by reducing drag on straights. Each component is crafted from premium 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fibre, ensuring both quality and durability.
The V3 TR87 kit pays tribute to the F87 M2 CS with several key elements. These include new carbon fibre kidney grilles with sleek surrounds and gloss black centre slats, a split two-slat design following the inner headlight surround's language. Additionally, there are new front bumper centre trims available in pre-preg carbon fibre or gloss black for improved airflow to the oil cooler.
Other features include new front bumper ducts with sharp angled designs inspired by the F87 M2 front bumper and a new rear diffuser that maintains design elements from the front bumper ducts around the exhaust. The kit retains core functionality and modularity seen in previous versions.
Suspension and Exhaust Upgrades
Each TR87 package car comes equipped with an M Performance Height Adjustable Suspension kit and Milltek Sport OPF Back exhaust system. The suspension kit offers lowered ride height for better handling and aesthetics while retaining electronic damping control. The exhaust system provides increased power output, sportier sound without excessive noise, weight reduction, stylish design, and compliance with emissions regulations.
Optional Handling Package
The optional handling package includes MSS Hybrid Adjustable Springs with triple-rated spring technology alongside factory Electronic Damper Control (EDC). It also features Moton Uniball Control Arm Bushes replacing rubber bushes with solid aluminium pillow ball systems for improved alignment adjustability.
Additional components include Hardrace Rear Toe Arms for fine-tuning alignment, Millway Adjustable Camber Plates offering up to 20mm of camber adjustment, Fast Road Geo Set Up tailored towards fast road preferences, Yokohama AD09 Tyre Package (285/35 R19 / 295/30 R20), and CSL Map enhancements for transmission, steering response, traction handling, differential integration, and suspension stability.
