2024 Audi S3 Sedan And Sportback Revealed With More Power & Major Upgrades
German luxury carmaker Audi has revealed the latest iteration of the S3, the more sporty version of the A3, in both Sedan and Sportback guises. The new S3 models will hit the European market in May, with a starting price of €55,600.
The new Audi S3 boasts enhanced power, refined driving dynamics, and a more pronounced design. The heart of these improvements lies in the 2.0 turbocharged petrol engine, now delivering 328bhp and 420Nm of torque which is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The engine isn't the only aspect that has been fine-tuned. The transmission now promises a sportier driving sensation, complemented by a torque splitter for a fully variable torque distribution between the rear wheels. The Audi drive select mode now includes a dynamic plus mode, pushing the vehicle's driving dynamics even further.
The suspension system has undergone optimization to offer better steering response and increased lateral control. The S3 rolls on standard 18-inch wheels, but for those seeking an edge, 19-inch options sporting Falken performance tyres, are available. The braking system is also more robust, with larger ventilated brake disks on the front axle.
The visual appeal of the S3 has been significantly upgraded. Changes include a new front grille, a front splitter, motorsport-inspired struts, a new bumper, and revised LED Matrix headlamps, a sporty diffuser, and a four-pipe performance exhaust system enhance its exterior.
Inside, the cabin reflects a sharper design with new elements like a new shifter design along with chrome plated paddle shifters, stainless steel pedals, leather wrapped steering wheel, sport seats, carbon-fbre trim and enhanced ambient lighting, ensuring a sporty aesthetic update.
On the technology front, the S3 is decked with the latest digital and connectivity features. Highlights include the Audi virtual cockpit, the 10.1-inch infotainment display, DAB+ digital radio, a wireless charging pad, four USB-C charging ports and the optional MMI Navigation Plus with enhanced features.
