2024 Audi Q8 SUV Launched In India At Rs 1.17 Crore
The latest Audi Q8 has been introduced in India at starting price of Rs 1.17 Crore (ex-showroom). It features notable updates to its exterior design while retaining the robust 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine. This model is available in eight colour options, including the striking Sakhir gold metallic.
Bookings for the new Audi Q8 began earlier this month with a deposit of ₹5 lakh. Although this version debuted internationally last year, its Indian launch is expected to boost Audi's market presence. Despite the growing popularity of electric vehicles, Audi believes there remains a strong demand for powerful and visually appealing SUVs.

Exterior Enhancements
The updated Audi Q8 boasts a large trapezoidal grille with a black colour scheme and a 2D Audi logo. It also features larger air dams, new headlamps with MATRIX technology, and an improved rear profile.
Inside, the Q8 maintains its classic Audi design, which is one of its main strengths. The layout remains largely unchanged, with a dual-screen setup at the centre—one for infotainment and another for air-conditioning controls. The material quality is top-notch, as expected from an Audi flagship.
Interior Features
The feature list of the Q8 has been enhanced further. It now includes a Bang and Olufsen-sourced music system, ventilated front seats, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and an ambient lighting system.
The Q8 continues to be powered by a three-litre TFSI petrol engine paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It delivers 340 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Additionally, it incorporates a 48V mild-hybrid system to improve fuel efficiency and control emissions.
Market Competition
The Audi Q8 will compete against formidable rivals in the Indian market such as the Mercedes GLS, BMW X7, and Volvo XC90. These models also face competition from an increasing number of battery-powered vehicles.
Audi India has crossed a significant milestone by selling over one lakh units since its debut in 2007. This achievement underscores the brand's strong presence in the Indian luxury car market.
The latest updates to the Audi Q8 aim to solidify its position as a flagship SUV that combines sporty aesthetics with luxury and advanced features.
