Audi Q7 Facelift Launched In India At Rs 88.66 Lakh

The Audi Q7 facelift has been introduced in India, starting at Rs 88.66 lakh. This marks the second update for the model that first appeared in 2015. Bookings began recently, and local assembly is already taking place at the Aurangabad facility. The facelift brings enhancements to its infotainment and instrumentation systems.

Audi Q7 Facelift: Exterior Highlights

Globally unveiled in January 2024, this facelift aims to extend the SUV's lifespan with cosmetic changes. It features new OLED headlamps with customisable light signatures similar to the Q6 e-tron, a redesigned grille with a thicker chrome surround, and hexagonal patterns. The bumpers have been revamped to resemble those of the Q8 SUV. Buyers can choose from five exterior colours: Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, and Glacier White.

Audi Q7 Facelift: Interior & Tech

The interior offers two upholstery options: Cedar Brown and Saiga Beige. While the dashboard layout remains unchanged, there are improvements in the infotainment system and instrumentation. The updated Virtual Cockpit now includes a lane-change warning system. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay but requires wired connections. Overall, the cabin retains much of its previous design.

Audi Q7 Facelift: Powertrain Details

Initially available with a diesel engine, Audi discontinued diesel models in India a few years ago. The Q7 now runs on a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine producing 340hp and 500Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and features Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive technology as standard. According to Audi, it accelerates from 0-100kph in 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250kph.

Audi Q7 Facelift: Competition

The facelifted Q7 continues to be a three-row SUV competing against models like the BMW X5 (priced between Rs 97 lakh-99 lakh), Mercedes GLE (Rs 97.85 lakh), and Volvo XC90 (Rs 1.01 crore). All prices are ex-showroom rates in India.

This generation's second facelift primarily focuses on aesthetic updates while maintaining its existing powertrain specifications. The enhancements aim to keep it competitive within its segment until the next-generation model arrives by 2026.
