Audi Unveils The New Q6 Sportback E-tron With Enhanced Design And Performance Features
Audi is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Q6 Sportback e-tron models. These new models, set to be available in the US by 2025, feature a dynamic and elegant design. Built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, they share battery and motor technology with their SUV counterparts. The Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2024.
The Q6 Sportback e-tron combines SUV spaciousness with coupé elegance. Its long wheelbase ensures ample interior space, including rear seats. With a towing capacity of up to 4,400 lb, it suits everyday use. The aerodynamic design and large battery offer an estimated range similar to the Q6 e-tron quattro, around 300 miles. Official EPA estimates will be released closer to its launch date.
The Q6 Sportback's sloping roofline enhances its sporty look, resembling a streamlined drop of water. The roof arch was redesigned from the A-pillar, making it 1.4 inches lower than the SUV variant. This change adds dynamism and elegance unique to the Sportback form. The greenhouse stretches lower over the body, creating a dynamic interplay of shadows with soft shapes contrasting against creases.
The interior of the Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro is designed with occupants in mind. Material properties were considered early in design stages to create a visually striking digital stage with Audi MMI panoramic and passenger displays. The high-contrast interior balances aesthetics and ergonomics tailored for occupants' needs.
The Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro features a new display and user interface like its SUV sister models and other Audi series models. Above the dashboard line is the Digital Stage with Audi MMI panoramic display and MMI passenger display dominating the interior. The slim Audi MMI panoramic display uses OLED technology for an immersive experience.
State-of-the-art lighting technology allows personalization with up to eight digital light signatures for daytime running lights in Matrix LED headlights and digital OLED rear lights 2.0 via MMI or myAudi app. This customization enhances personal connection between driver and vehicle.
Battery Technology and Charging Capabilities
Both Q6 Sportback e-tron models come standard with a 100kWh battery powering two electric motors on front and rear axles. Sophisticated thermal management paired with an 800-volt electrical system enables impressive charging performance: DC fast-charging at 270 kW charges from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes under ideal conditions.
The driving dynamics match its sporty character through partially redeveloped suspension systems for improved agility and steering response thanks to optimized axle kinematics holding steering securely in place while enhancing feedback precision during maneuvers.

The Q6 Sportback e-tron will arrive in US markets by spring/summer 2025; pricing details will follow closer to launch date alongside full performance specifications specific for US market requirements
