Aston Martin Celebrates King’s Award For Enterprise In Innovation
On 07 May 2024, the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise was bestowed upon Aston Martin, marking a significant achievement for the ultra-luxury carmaker. This accolade was in recognition of Aston Martin's innovative fusion of handcraftsmanship with the latest technological advancements in the creation of bespoke leather interiors. The company has developed a patented technique for perforating and quilting that not only enhances decorative finishes but also improves the cooling functionality of its leather seats.
Aston Martin's proprietary technology allows for the creation of perforated holes in custom patterns according to a customer’s specific design, a feat unachievable with conventional tooling methods. Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin, expressed his pride in the company's commitment to innovation and the recognition of their craftspeople's ingenuity and the quality of Aston Martin’s bespoke interiors through this award.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise until their renaming last year, stand as the UK's most esteemed business accolades. Established in 1965, these awards continue to honor outstanding UK businesses under His Majesty The King’s reign, echoing the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Aston Martin, having received this honor for the third time since 1998, is permitted to use the prestigious King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
