Aston Martin Celebrates Goldfinger's 60th Anniversary With A Secret 007 Experience In London

The House of Q by Aston Martin has opened in London's Burlington Arcade to mark 60 years since the release of Goldfinger, the first James Bond film featuring the iconic DB5. This pop-up experience, running from 18 July to 4 August, offers visitors a glimpse into the world of Q.

Guests enter through a secret door disguised as a magazine newsstand at House 12-13 Burlington Arcade. Inside, they find a speakeasy bar serving Champagne Bollinger, adorned with technical drawings and parts from the original DB5. The bar also features sketches and diagrams from Aston Martin and EON Productions archives.

Aston Martin's association with James Bond began with Goldfinger in 1964. The DB5's appearance in the film cemented its status as one of Britain's most desirable luxury cars. Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of Aston Martin, stated, "Aston Martin and James Bond are two British icons, forever linked."

The House of Q also showcases the original Goldfinger script, film posters, and set photography. Bowers & Wilkins provides stunning audio to enhance the experience. Visitors can explore upstairs to discover the Configurator Lab, where they can work with Aston Martin design experts to customise their perfect car.

Burlington Arcade has been an exclusive shopping destination since its inception in 1819. Located parallel to Bond Street with an entry via Piccadilly, it houses 47 brands specialising in luxury accessories like watches, jewellery, leather goods, shoes, and cashmere.

Trupti Shah, Commercial Director of Burlington Arcade, commented on the collaboration: "Burlington Arcade is thrilled to be jointly celebrating this milestone year for James Bond and Aston Martin." She added that the continued partnership between their brands is extremely exciting.

Aston Martin's Legacy

Aston Martin was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Known for style, luxury, performance, and exclusivity, it produces critically acclaimed models like Vantage, DB12, DBS, DBX and its first hypercar Valkyrie.
