Archimedes Defense And Unplugged Performance Unveil Apocalypse-Ready Cybertrucks
Archimedes Defense has teamed up with Unplugged Performance and its fleet division, UP.FIT, to launch STING: a series of up-armored and genset-equipped Tesla Cybertruck packages. These packages are designed for both government and civilian use, enhancing the vehicle's off-grid recharging capabilities and occupant protection.
"Archimedes is thrilled to partner with Unplugged Performance to install its genset package and bolt-on armor to the Cybertruck," said Arsineh Hebert, President of Archimedes. "Archimedes and Unplugged are the right team to bring this game-changing product to customers."
The STING Baja variant includes the UP INVINCIBLE® off-road package, which features Starlink connectivity. It also offers off-grid capabilities through a compact, lightweight frunk-mounted AMP Drive G125TM aviation-derived 800V genset. This genset can run on multiple fuels including Jet A, JP-8, Diesel, and Biodiesel. It can supercharge the Cybertruck at up to 125kW and rescue-charge other vehicles using an included NACS charging cable.
Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance, stated, "UP.FIT has already set the standard with our police Cybertrucks, but with STING, in collaboration with Archimedes, we’re pushing the limits even further. These military Cybertrucks are designed to be more extreme, with enhanced protection and unmatched capabilities."
The STING Protector variant builds upon the UP INVINCIBLE® off-road package by adding bolt-on external offset steel armor plating. This armor can withstand 7.62mm assault rifle rounds from key angles. It is suitable for private individuals, corporate clients, and government use in moderate threat environments. The Protector variant is available with or without the genset.
The STING APC variant offers advanced protection against IEDs and mines. It includes upgraded bolt-on external offset steel and ceramic armor plating that can shield occupants from 14.5mm heavy machine gun rounds from key angles. This variant is designed for high-threat tactical situations and comes with an optional genset for extended missions.
STING packages are now available for preorder through Archimedes Defense. Police-use Cybertrucks can be purchased from UP.FIT, while standalone INVINCIBLE parts are available from Unplugged Performance.
